Interesting experience. We’re 17 year olds making our 1st film in 48 hours.
I've (Danny) thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I recall the 1st day...our crew sat down at the table discussing ideas of what the film could be about. After a long day searching for a church, and trying to get permission, we failed with that location. Talk about a set back! At 5:30pm on the 1st day, we hadn't shot anything. We finally found a location and shot only 1-2 minutes worth of footage. By the next day, filming wrapped. We were finished by 8pm.
I began editing at 10pm. Will and I worked all through the night. After endless amounts of coffee and no sleep, we were finished by 5:30am. It’s a very satisfying experience having set out to do something with very little time given and completing it on time. It’s very rewarding and it feels as though a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders.
I (mark) thought it was a really good laugh and although I don’t study and make films like Dan, I've learned quite a bit. And if they ever need my help in future, I’d be more than happy to help.
I (will) thought it was a really good idea and really fun to do. Looking back on the films I saw, it seems as though people have spent a lot of money on their movies. |
