1. Anyone and everyone can enter this competition. However, for the youngsters out there please bear in mind that due to licensing restrictions only over-15's will be admitted into the cinema for the screenings and - should you win a cash prize - this must be claimed by someone over 16 years of age.
2. We must have at least one method of contact for your team in case we need to query your entry.
3. The entry fee of £20 per team must be paid on the day of registration at the cinema in person (CASH only please). Remember all profits are going to charity. If you wish to donate more, just let the staff member at the cinema know.

4. You will be issued with a film title, film genre and a line of dialogue which MUST be used for/in your film. You are not permitted to alter, change or tweak the information given nor are you permitted to swap details with another team.
5. Your completed movie must be returned to the cinema no later than 48-hours after your initial registration time (as noted on your registration form by our staff). You can risk posting your entry but should the postman lose your entry, you will be disqualified. No exceptions! Those posting entries must ensure it is despatched before the 48-hours is up (it doesn't need to arrive before the 48-hours). We will only accept entries sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and you must retain both your Post Office Receipt and Special Delivery acknowledgement. Should we request to see these, you must present them.
6. Your film must be submitted in either the miniDV (PAL) or DVD (PAL) format. Where possible, send your film in both formats so that if we experience playback trouble, we have a back-up spare. It must be delivered in person at the cinema in the envelope provided and clearly labeled. Your movie will not be returned so please DO NOT SEND THE MASTER.
7. Your movie must last for 5-minutes including any credits you may add. We will allow the running time to be up to a maximum of 5-seconds out either way. If we feel you have cheated by "padding" your film with extended credits, we will disqualify you.

8. We want you to have as much creative freedom as possible with your film. However, due to licensing restrictions, if you wish to make a more "mature" film then the maximum strength it can be is one for an audience of "15" or above. Please read the BBFC guidelines for further information. If we feel the material you have shot is inappropriate, we may impose edits or cuts. Please note though that "15" rated films are pretty lenient at the moment so almost anything goes but read the BBFC guidelines if you are unsure as to what is/is not acceptable.
9. Your film must have a least one talking character. This does not necessarily mean you need actors. You can use voice-overs, puppets, talking pets etc. Whatever or whoever you choose must say the given line of dialogue as a minimum - additional dialogue would be a bonus! We don't want 5-minute films of some trees and meadows blowing in the wind!
10. You must sign a release form on return of your film acknowledging that you hold all licensing and copyright permission for the material used in your film and that we (the 48 Hour Movie Challenge) can freely distribute the movie as we see fit. Failure to sign this form will mean we cannot screen your film.
11. We reserve the right to ammend these rules at any time.
